As we continue into the new year, I wanted to take a moment to look back at the past one. This emotional agility community we’ve created together is full of care, growth, vibrant conversations, and collective learning.
So whether you’ve read the book, watched the TED talk, or enrolled in one of our learning journeys, I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude. Thank you for your interest in this important work, and for the time and energy you’ve invested in yourself, your communities, and your workplaces. The world is a better place because of you.
During seasons of new beginnings, I also like to remind myself of something that’s part of the core framework of emotional agility: the idea that change is a process, not an event. And while big ideas can often strike in a flash of inspiration, we often don’t achieve them in the same way. When we’re pursuing what’s important to us, such as deepening our relationships, maintaining a healthy habit or transitioning into (or out of) a new phase of life, it can be powerful to acknowledge that some changes are quiet and subtle evolutions.
My team and I are excited to bring you more opportunities to engage with emotional agility in 2025, so if you haven’t already, please make sure to sign up for our newsletter here. We can’t wait to share what we have in store.
I hope this serves as a gentle reminder to be compassionate and patient with yourself as you embark on a new year full of new endeavors and challenges, risks and achievements.
